You land today at Belize city airport where one of our drivers is waiting for you to welcome you and take you to the San Ignacio region, in the west of the country. You then settle into a superb lodge in the heart of plantation landscapes and verdant hills.
San Ignacio Valley – Mountain Pine Ridge Forest Reserve – San Ignacio
A small shared shuttle bus picks you up this morning to take you to the heart of the Mountain Pine Ridge reserve. You then explore these ochre-colored landscapes by vehicle and on foot, before enjoying swimming time in the refreshing waters of Rio On Pools, a set of natural pools carved into the rock.

San Ignacio Valley – Horseback Riding in the Cayo District – San Ignacio
This day is dedicated to a horseback riding excursion of approximately 2 hours through the valley. Departing from a small family-run equestrian center well-known to the region's inhabitants, you set off accompanied by a member of the property to discover the many local natural treasures at the pace of the horses.

Directly from your hotel this morning you climb aboard a canoe-kayak to begin the descent of the Macal River to the village of San Ignacio. Saturday is market day in this small town which then comes alive with a festive and colorful atmosphere. A vehicle then takes you back to your lodge.

This morning, you travel back towards the border with a private driver, then to the south of Belize. You thus reach the peaceful seaside resort of Placencia, located at the end of a long peninsula. Beyond its long stretches of sand, Placencia is an excellent starting point for exploring the many islets of the South Water Caye and Gladden Split archipelagos.

A driver will pick you up this morning to take you to the Bocawina reserve where you can experience various zip-lining courses, canyoning, guided hiking and many other activities on site.
Your journey then continues to Dangriga, also called "Stann Creek Town".

From there, a boat takes you to a small private island in the South Water Caye marine reserve to spend a few days in an exceptional setting.

The information below concerns travelers who are nationals of the European Economic Area (EEA), Switzerland, and Canada traveling to Belize for a tourist stay. Entry rules may change, so we recommend verifying this information with the official authorities before your departure.
Passport
To enter Belize, your passport must be valid for a minimum of six months after the date of entry into the country and must have at least one blank page for immigration stamps.
The document must be in good condition (no damaged, torn, or altered pages).
Tourist stay without visa
Nationals of the European Economic Area, Switzerland, and Canada benefit from a visa exemption for tourist stays in Belize.
Currently, this exemption allows an initial stay of up to 30 days upon entry into the territory. A stay extension can generally be requested on-site from the Belize Immigration Department, for a maximum total duration of 90 days per year.
Authorities may also request:
an outbound ticket from the territory (return or onward flight),
proof of sufficient financial resources for the duration of your stay.
Tourist tax on arrival
A tourist tax is charged upon entry to Belize. The amount may vary depending on the mode of entry into the country (by air or land). This tax is generally included in the airline ticket for travelers arriving by air, but may need to be paid separately for arrivals by land.
It is advisable to inquire with your carrier or Belizean authorities to find out the exact amount applicable at the time of your trip.
Health
No vaccine is mandatory to enter Belize for travelers coming from the EEA, Switzerland, or Canada, except in cases of arrival from a country at risk of yellow fever, where a yellow fever vaccination certificate may be required.
As a preventive measure, health authorities notably recommend:
vaccination against hepatitis A and typhoid,
precautions against malaria, present in certain rural areas of the country,
protective measures against arboviruses (dengue, chikungunya, Zika), transmitted by mosquitoes.
It is recommended to consult a doctor or international vaccination center before departure.
Travel with children
Minors must be holders of their own valid passport covering the duration of the stay.
In some European countries, when a minor travels without one of their parents, an authorization to leave the territory may be required according to the regulations of the country of residence.

Entry conditions may vary depending on nationality. Travelers concerned should inquire with the embassy or consulate of Belize in their country of residence.
