Welcome to South Africa!

Upon arrival in Cape Town, you are welcomed and assisted by our local English-speaking representative. Your driver then transfers you to your accommodation located in the Gardens neighborhood (approximately 30 minutes drive).

You will stay for 4 nights in a charming boutique hotel, an ideal address to enjoy the atmosphere of Cape Town.

Considered one of the most beautiful cities in the world, Cape Town is discovered between sea and mountain. Nestled at the foot of Table Mountain and at the meeting point of the Atlantic and Indian Oceans, it is also the most cosmopolitan city in Afrique du Sud. The possibilities for visits and walks are numerous: Bo-Kaap, the Malay neighborhood with its colorful houses, museums and historic buildings in Cape Dutch style, the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront with its constant buzz of shops, bars and restaurants. Table Mountain, accessible by cable car, offers views of the city, the harbor and the bay, as well as Robben Island, which has become a museum and is known for having housed the former prison where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned.

Table Mountain and Cape Town

Today, accompanied by your English-speaking driver-guide, you set out to discover major sites in Cape Town. Thanks to their in-depth knowledge, this day allows you to explore the must-see places of Cape Town while enriching your understanding of the city and its history.

You begin with an ascent of Table Mountain by cable car. During the ascent and descent, the funicular rotates 360°, offering a changing perspective on the landscapes. Once at the summit, at approximately 1,000 meters altitude, a walk on flat terrain allows you to appreciate different viewpoints over the city and the Atlantic Ocean. With its characteristic flat shape, Table Mountain dominates Cape Town and remains visible from many neighborhoods. Climbing to its summit allows you to better grasp the extent of the surrounding panorama.

The visit continues in the Cape Town city center, with the discovery of the Company's Garden, the colorful neighborhood ofBo-Kaap, the African craft market at Greenmarket Square, as well as typical streets lined with buildings in Cape Dutch style.

Free exploration time completes the day. You can notably visit the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, Cape Town's harbor located on the Atlantic Ocean coast, known for its restaurants, shops, the Victoria Wharf craft market and its large observation wheel offering panoramic views of the city. The history of Company's Garden is also discussed: these gardens were used as early as the 17th century by the Dutch East India Company to grow fresh produce for ships traveling between Europe and the Indies.

Cape Peninsula

Today, get ready to go to the "end of the world". Accompanied by your English-speaking driver-guide, you experience a day dedicated to discovering the Cape Peninsula and its emblematic site, Cape of Good Hope.

You take the road towards the small fishing port of Hout Bay, located in a bay bordered by the Atlantic Ocean. You then continue along the scenic Chapman's Peak route, which winds along the mountain slopes above the Atlantic. The day continues to Simonstown, where Boulders Beach is home to a colony of African penguins.

A stop is planned at Boulders Beach to observe jackass penguins. This colony is particular because it settled itself: the penguins chose to occupy this residential area and public swimming space. Boardwalks allow you to get very close to them while respecting their natural environment. It is also possible to access, in addition to the observation walkway, an adjacent beach where you can picnic and swim with the penguins.

Off the coast of Cape of Good Hope, formerly called Cape of Storms, many ships of the Dutch East India Company ran aground in the 17th century, before the establishment of a trading post on the peninsula, at the origin of the city of Cape Town.

From the lighthouse at Cape Point, a walk of approximately 1 hour 30 minutes allows you to reach the tip of the peninsula. You access the lighthouse, located 87 meters above sea level, either by a paved path or thanks to the Flying Dutchman funicular, whose name refers to the local legend of the phantom ship.
