Highlights
Day-by-day itinerary

Arrival and Discovery of Tashkent
In case of a late arrival, dedicate the day to rest and postpone some visits to the following morning, before the train.
Aéroport International De Tachkent → Hôtel À Tachkent
Meet the local team and join your hotel.
Discover theChorsu Bazaar and the old town district around Khast Imam if your flight schedule allows. A metro ride can connect the historic and modern districts of Tashkent.

From Tashkent to Samarkand
Keep the evening free for dinner and, if you wish, to stroll again around the monuments.
Tachkent → Samarcande
Take the reserved train to Samarkand, where the local guide will welcome you. After settling in, head to your hotel.
Start with the Gour Emir and a first visit to the Registan Square. The exact order depends on train schedules and site opening hours.

Samarkand in depth
Continue with Chah-i-Zinda, the Bibi-Khanym sector and the Siab bazaar. Visit the Oulough Beg Observatory Museum if this visit is included in the selection of agreed visits. A craft visit to Konigil can replace a museum visit when the workshop is available. The afternoon leaves free time for you to discover more of the city beyond its main squares.

From Samarkand to Bukhara
Samarcande → Boukhara
Join Bukhara by confirmed rail service. Meet the guide and proceed to the hotel.
Discover the surroundings of Lyabi-Hauz and the trading domes during a first walk. The smaller scale of the places visited in the afternoon contrasts with the grand monumental complexes of Samarkand. Dine freely and take time to explore the streets near the hotel.

Monuments and Neighborhoods of Bukhara
Visit the Kalyan ensemble, the Ark Fortress sector and the Samanid Mausoleum with your guide. Take breaks between the main sites to discover the alleys and market spaces connecting them. Interior visits depend on opening hours and the selected ticket package. End with time dedicated to crafts, tea, or another stroll through your favorite part of the old town.

From Bukhara to Khiva
This day is mainly devoted to transfers, before a more in-depth exploration of the old town the next day. A suitable and reserved train can replace the road journey in the confirmed itinerary.
Boukhara → Khiva
Cross the desert corridor towards Khiva, planning lunch breaks and rest stops before departure.
Enjoy a first evening walk near the city ramparts.

Khiva and Itchan Kala
Explore the fortified inner city with a local guide. Visit the Juma Mosque and some palace courtyards, then walk through the streets around Kalta Minor and the facades of the madrasahs. After the guided program, keep time to take photos freely and discover craft shops. A second night in Khiva allows you to discover the old city after the departure of day visitors.

Departure via Urgench
If you plan to continue your journey via Tashkent, the domestic flight is quoted separately and organized based on your international connection. Additional nights in Khiva can be added. The tour ends with the transfer to the airport, after a journey westwards through the main cities and the oasis corridor of Uzbekistan.
Khiva → Aéroport D'Ourguentch
Transfer to Urgench airport according to your flight schedule.

For a quality tailor-made trip, budget between 120 and 200 euros per day per person, including accommodation, meals, internal transportation and activities. Tajikistan remains an affordable destination, but its remote location and road conditions require private 4x4 transfers that represent a significant portion of the budget. International flights are additional.

Tajikistan is a demanding destination: long mountain roads, high altitudes on the Pamir, and sometimes basic accommodations. We can design family stays focused on Dushanbe and accessible valleys, prioritizing slow-paced itineraries and comfortable guesthouses, but this destination is better suited for teenagers than young children.
