Upon arrival at Rio de Janeiro international airport, a warm welcome awaits you.

During your transfer to your hotel located in Copacabana, you will have the opportunity to discover the charms of Brésil's former capital, magnificently surrounded by hills and bays. From a distance, you will be able to admire the two emblematic symbols of the city: the Christ the Redeemer statue and the Sugarloaf Mountain.

The rest of the day will be dedicated to a well-deserved moment of relaxation.

If your flight lands early in the morning, it is possible to organize a visit for this first day, to be booked in advance.

After a delicious breakfast, embark on an unforgettable visit to Sugarloaf Mountain and Christ the Redeemer.

Begin with a cable car ascent to the summit of Sugarloaf Mountain, which takes place in two stages: first, take the cable car to Urca Mountain station, then continue to the summit. Admire the panoramic views of Rio's magnificent beaches and the lush green hills of the Atlantic rainforest. At the summit, take time to relax and capture memorable photos.

Follow our guide to your next stop: Christ the Redeemer. Enjoy a pleasant minibus excursion along the Paineiras road, which winds through the mountains of Corcovado. Admire the majesty of the Christ the Redeemer statue on Corcovado and find the best angle to capture this iconic image. Savor the breathtaking views of the city before returning to your hotel.

  • Suggestion: In the evening, immerse yourself in the world's most famous carnival by participating in a masquerade ball organized every year in one of Rio's historic venues, Scenarium Rio, which warmly welcomes its visitors to the sound of Brazilian music.

After breakfast, set off to discover the emblematic Santa Teresa neighborhood. Located in the heart of the city, this neighborhood stands out for its natural landscapes and architectural treasures, as well as its viewpoint, cultural centers, studios, galleries, restaurants, bars and hotels. The Carnival blocks, in particular, are attracting an increasing number of visitors and tourists, especially those seeking a leisure alternative while preserving a peaceful atmosphere within this dynamic metropolis.

The afternoon will be free.

  • Optional: We strongly suggest you experience an unforgettable time by participating in a costume parade with a Rio de Janeiro samba school. You will have the chance to dance at the Sambadrome in an authentic costume, a unique souvenir to take home with you.

The Magic of Rio Carnival

Start your day with breakfast at the hotel, then enjoy a free day to relax and prepare for a memorable evening! You'll have the chance to attend a stunning parade where six of the best samba schools from the special group will perform for you. Hundreds of participants will alternate on magnificent floats, dancing and singing to the rhythm of music carefully crafted throughout the year.

During the parade, three transport teams will be available at different times, depending on the length of your stay.

Expert tip: To make the most of the parade which can last up to seven hours or more, remember to wear comfortable shoes and lightweight clothing.

La Forêt de Tijuca et le Jardin Botanique de Rio

After lunch, prepare yourself for a new captivating adventure. During this excursion in the lush tropical rainforest of Tijuca, you will have the opportunity to admire the Chinese viewpoint, which offers a spectacular view of the famous beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema, as well as Guanabara Bay and Sugarloaf Mountain. With a bit of luck, you may spot monkeys, sloths or exotic birds.

Your exploration will continue with the discovery of Taunay waterfall and a visit to the magnificent Mayrink chapel.

We will end this day with an exploration of the Botanical Garden, which spans approximately 140 hectares and is home to nearly 6,500 plant species. Recognized among the ten most important botanical gardens in the world, this site offers an unforgettable experience. Among its treasures, you will find historic palm trees on the main avenue "Barbosa Rodrigues", as well as greenhouses filled with orchids and rose gardens. Do not miss the lake, where giant aquatic plants float, such as the water lily "Vitória Regia", the largest in the Amazon.

Passeport

Séjour touristique sans visa

Les ressortissants de l'Espace économique européen et de la Suisse bénéficient d'une exemption de visa pour les séjours touristiques.

Santé et vaccinations

Aucun vaccin n'est obligatoire pour entrer au Brésil depuis l'EEE, la Suisse ou le Canada. Toutefois, certaines vaccinations sont fortement recommandées :

  • la fièvre jaune est recommandée pour les voyageurs se rendant dans les régions amazoniennes ou dans certaines zones à risque ; un certificat international de vaccination peut être exigé à l'entrée si vous arrivez de pays à risque,

  • les vaccinations contre l'hépatite A, l'hépatite B et la typhoïde sont également conseillées selon votre itinéraire.

Il est recommandé de consulter un médecin ou un centre de vaccination international avant votre départ.

Voyage avec des enfants

Les mineurs doivent être titulaires de leur propre passeport valide couvrant la durée du séjour.

Lorsqu'un mineur voyage sans l'un de ses parents ou sans ses deux parents, une autorisation parentale notariée peut être exigée par les autorités brésiliennes à l'entrée ou à la sortie du territoire.
