New experiences and the beauty of an extraordinary African landscape for the greatest pleasure of your senses.
In xitsonga, Timbavati means "the place where something sacred came down from Heaven to Earth", referring to the rare white lions of the Timbavati reserve. A special place, blessed by the Gods, where you will live 3 fabulous days.
Between safaris at sunrise and sunset, candlelit dinners under a starry sky and moments of relaxation in the heart of nature, each day is an invitation to share privileged moments together. The stages of your journey
Highlights
Day-by-day itinerary

Welcome to Afrique du Sud!
Johannesburg → Nelspruit
Welcome and assistance at Johannesbourg international airport by our English-speaking representative and delivery of your travel documents. You take a direct flight to Nelspruit, northeast of Johannesbourg and near numerous national parks and reserves.
Nelspruit → Blyde River Canyon
Upon arrival you will be transferred to your accommodation in the Blyde River Canyon region. Your charming lodge awaits you for a romantic escape in the heart of nature with breathtaking views. Stay for 2 nights on a half-board basis (dinner & breakfast).
Your lodge emphasizes intimacy and romance, each of the 7 villas is nestled in a landscape that belongs only to you. The villas are all uniquely decorated with exotic objects from around the world, making every corner of every room a visual treat. Your private pool overlooking sublime landscapes, comfortable day beds on the terrace and outdoor showers, wood-burning fireplace and bathtub in which to soak are just some of the features to discover in each villa of the lodge.
ACTIVITY SUGGESTIONS:
Picnic
Enjoy a picnic set on the banks of the majestic Sabie River, below the small Timamoon waterfall. It's the ideal way to spend a relaxing afternoon while savoring our delicious dishes while sipping a light glass of wine, hearing only the sound of the flowing river and the birdsong.
Hiking
Explore the natural beauty of the valley on our 7 km hiking trail. You may even have the chance to spot the vast array of wildlife that lives in the area, such as the endangered red duiker, lizards and caracals, or fish eagles and many others.
Panoramic Hot Air Balloon Flight
Every fine morning at sunrise, hot air balloons depart from the launch site near Hoedspruit. Board for the experience of a lifetime.
Since 2003, one-hour flights have been taking place over the picturesque Lowveld section of the Blyde River.
Although this is not a "big 5" safari flight, this location has proven to be the most popular in the Hoedspruit region. The escarpment forms an amphitheater at this location, offering safe shelter from the prevailing winds, making this area offer the best in terms of safety, accessibility and scenic splendor.

Discovery of Blyde River Canyon
Today after your breakfast, you set off for a guided day full of discoveries of the famous Blyde River Canyon. Located between Sabie and Hazyview, your lodge is the ideal place to explore the famous sites. Blyde River Canyon is the third largest canyon in the world and the largest green canyon due to its lush subtropical foliage, with the deepest and steepest cliffs of all canyons on the planet. The region is renowned for its countless forests and mountain waterfalls. Between Graskop and Blyde River Canyon, you will find the Berlin Falls as well as the Lisbon Falls, which are the largest waterfalls in the region. However, even before reaching these waterfalls, other magical sites and natural wonders are worth visiting: Bourke's Luck Potholes, Three Rondavels, Pinnacle Rock and God's Window.
You also discover the village of Pilgrim's Rest, created during the Transvaal gold rush in the late nineteenth century. Thousands of fortune seekers crossed dangerous mountains and rugged terrain in search of gold. The entire town was classified as a national monument.

Your African adventure in all its splendor!
Blyde River Canyon → Parc National Kruger
After breakfast at your lodge, you will be transferred to Kruger Park, where your adventure in the heart of the South African bush begins.

The authorities may also request:
a departure ticket from the territory (return or onward flight),
proof of sufficient financial resources for the duration of your stay,

Travel with children
Minors must hold their own valid passport covering the duration of the stay.
South Africa applies strict rules concerning travel by minors. Any child traveling with both parents or alone with one of them must present their full birth certificate (original or certified copy). In certain European countries, an authorization to leave the territory may also be required according to the regulations of the country of residence.
