Each year to celebrate the end of the rainy season the Wodaabe Peuls or also called M'broro, gather for an extraordinary festival, one of seduction, beauty and love.
The earth has been soaked with water, the pastures are abundant to support a large number of herds and men. Then comes the time of meeting for this dispersed people, nomadic herders exchange news and gossip, forge friendships. It is also the time of seduction, the main opportunity that young people have in the year to indulge in erotic dances and meet love. It is the moment when each man can externalize the fantastic image he has of himself, away from the monotonous tasks of daily life.
Through meticulous care and particularly to enhance the attractiveness of their face, the brightness of their teeth and eyes, men develop an art of beauty, adornment and makeup. Before dancing, they drink stimulating potions made from powdered bark that allow them to dance for hours on end, practically in a state of trance. Young women care for their appearance through particular hairstyles, carefully chosen clothing and silver and amber ornaments.
We are in the South-East of N'Djamena, not far from the capital; The populations mix for access to water in the dry season and pasture at the end of the rainy season; Arabs from Ati and Bata, Bournou and Hausa from Nigeria, Peul Foulbé coming up from Central Africa or returning from Cameroon, and above all the Sara people, indigenous people, farmers and fishermen from the great kingdom of Chari Baguirmi.
The markets will be an opportunity to encounter this variegated, mixed population, often speaking 3 different languages. The schools will welcome us for a small welcome passage where we can leave notebooks and pens with teachers often lacking supplies in overcrowded but impeccably disciplined classrooms. Our visit will be an opportunity to break the monotony of lessons to create an ephemeral and joyful exchange.

Arrival in N'Djamena
Arrival at the airport, transfer to the hotel. (Mercure hotel in double-twin room)
Meal in a restaurant in the capital (opportunity to taste the captain fish or the carp from the Chari).
Chari River Banks

Departure to the south and the banks of the Chari River.
Welcome from the Peul Wodaabe community, "the shepherds of the sun".
Setting up our camp (3-person igloo tents for 2 people, possibility of individual tents upon request).
Guéréwol
We will travel from village to village, some Fulani camps will be in the process of moving while others will have been settled for a long time, to attend the festivals.
Meeting with chiefs and women. These days are informal as there is time for photos, meetings, sharing meals, milking cows and meeting with Arabs, camel herders who will also be in the surrounding areas. Not forgetting the possibility of going to see hippos near the river, local markets.
Return to N'Djaména
We leave our friends to continue on our way leisurely, stopping at local markets to discover agricultural diversity as well as fishing and gathering (soapberry, gum arabic…)
Return to N'Djamena, hotel for a shower and airport transfer.

Registration is considered firm and final after payment of a deposit of 30% of the total price and acceptance of the specific terms of sale.
The balance must be paid no later than 45 days before the departure date.

Passeport
Pour entrer au Tchad, votre passeport doit être valide au minimum six mois après la date d'entrée dans le pays et comporter au moins deux pages vierges pour les tampons d'immigration.
Le document doit être en bon état (pas de pages détériorées, déchirées ou modifiées).
Visa obligatoire
Les ressortissants de l'Espace économique européen, de la Suisse et du Canada doivent obligatoirement être en possession d'un visa pour entrer au Tchad à des fins touristiques. Il n'existe pas d'exemption de visa pour ces nationalités.
Le visa peut être obtenu :
auprès de l'ambassade ou du consulat du Tchad compétent avant le départ,
dans certains cas, à l'arrivée à l'aéroport international Hassan Djamous de N'Djamena (visa on arrival), sous réserve de confirmation préalable auprès des autorités tchadiennes, cette possibilité pouvant être soumise à conditions.
La durée de séjour autorisée est généralement de 30 jours, renouvelable sur place auprès des services d'immigration tchadiens.
Les autorités peuvent demander :
un billet de sortie du territoire (vol retour ou continuation),
une preuve de ressources financières suffisantes pour la durée du séjour,
une invitation ou justificatif d'hébergement.
Santé et vaccinations
La vaccination contre la fièvre jaune est obligatoire pour entrer au Tchad. Le certificat international de vaccination (carnet jaune) sera exigé à l'arrivée.
Des vaccinations supplémentaires sont fortement recommandées par les autorités sanitaires :
méningite A, C, Y, W135 (le Tchad se situe dans la ceinture africaine de la méningite),
hépatites A et B,
typhoïde,
rage selon les activités prévues.
Un traitement antipaludéen préventif (prophylaxie antipaludique) est fortement recommandé, le paludisme étant présent sur l'ensemble du territoire. Consultez votre médecin ou un centre de vaccinations internationales avant le départ.
Voyage avec des enfants
Les mineurs doivent être titulaires de leur propre passeport valide et d'un visa individuel couvrant la durée du séjour.
Dans certains pays européens, lorsqu'un mineur voyage sans l'un de ses parents, une autorisation de sortie du territoire peut être exigée selon la réglementation du pays de résidence.
