Highlights
Day-by-day itinerary

Arrival in Entebbe, on the shores of Lake Victoria
From your window, you catch sight of Lake Victoria, and the islets scattered in its clear waters where fishermen go about their work. Landing in Entebbe, the gateway to Ouganda, where your driver awaits you and accompanies you to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.

Escape to Bwindi Forest
Breakfast and then transfer to the airport where you board your flight to Kisoro in southwestern Ouganda. The departure is scheduled for 07:45 with an arrival on site at 8:55. During the flight you will enjoy a splendid view of the various Ugandan landscapes: mountains, hills, terraced crops and other tropical forests.
Kisoro → Parc national de Bwindi
Reception at destination by your lodge driver. Together you will join your lodge in the Bwindi forest.
Arrival on site for lunch, and afternoon dedicated to discovering, on foot, the surrounding villages.
Note: In Ouganda, we purchase gorilla permits for a specific group. We purchase permits for 4 sectors distributed across the entire Bwindi park and not for a given group of gorillas. Each of these 4 geographical entities has an office where travelers converge on the morning of the trek and where the manager assigns them the group to visit. As a result, hotels and travel time may change depending on the availability of gorilla permits.

Meeting with the Mountain Gorillas
Here at last has arrived the much-anticipated experience of your trip to Ouganda: the encounter with Mountain Gorillas !
Early morning wake-up, then departure to the Park reception from where we will set off accompanied by trackers and our specialized guide in search of Gorillas. These latter appreciate humid forests and are vegetarian. The clans are composed of 8 to 20 individuals including the dominant male, adult females and adolescents. The male has a silvery-colored back and can reach a height of 1m70 and weigh up to 250 kg. Our distant cousins are peaceful and good-natured animals that will observe us while continuing to seek their food in their plant-filled world. Emotion and intense sensation guaranteed for all nature lovers!

The information below concerns travelers who are nationals of the European Economic Area (EEA), Switzerland, and Canada traveling to Uganda for a tourist stay. As entry requirements may change, we recommend verifying this information with the official authorities before your departure.
Passport
To enter Uganda, your passport must be valid for a minimum of six months from the date of entry into the country and must contain at least two blank pages for immigration stamps.
The document must be in good condition (no damaged, torn, or altered pages).
Visa
Nationals of the European Economic Area, Switzerland, and Canada must obtain a visa to enter Uganda. This visa can be obtained in two ways:
online, before departure, via the official East African Visa portal or the Uganda online visa (e-Visa),
on arrival, at the border post or Entebbe International Airport (visa on arrival), subject to availability and current conditions.
The standard tourist visa permits a stay of up to 90 days. An extension can be requested from the Ugandan immigration services before the visa expires.
The authorities may also request:
a departure ticket from the country (return or onward flight),
proof of sufficient financial resources for the duration of your stay,
a confirmation of accommodation reservation.
East African Tourist Visa
There is also an East African tourist visa allowing you to visit Uganda, Kenya, and Rwanda with a single visa. This multiple-entry visa is valid for 90 days and can be particularly advantageous for travelers wishing to explore several countries in the region.
This visa must be requested online before departure and entry into the designated zone must be made through one of the designated entry points.
Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate
Presentation of an international yellow fever vaccination certificate (yellow booklet) is mandatory to enter Uganda. This certificate must be obtained at least 10 days before entry into the country and is valid for life.
Without this document, the Ugandan authorities may refuse entry into the country or impose vaccination on arrival.
Health
In addition to yellow fever, several health precautions are recommended before traveling to Uganda:
malaria prophylaxis is strongly recommended, as malaria is present throughout the country,
updating routine vaccinations (tetanus, diphtheria, poliomyelitis, hepatitis A and B, typhoid) is advised,
it is recommended to consult a doctor or international vaccination center at least four to six weeks before departure.
Traveling with Children
Minors must hold their own valid passport covering the duration of the stay and a valid visa.
In some European countries, when a minor travels without one of their parents, an authorization to leave the country may be required according to the regulations of the country of residence.

Entry conditions may vary depending on nationality. Travelers concerned should inquire with the embassy or consulate of Uganda in their country of residence.
