Upon your arrival at Yerevan airport, your guide welcomes you before your transfer to the hotel. You then enjoy a free afternoon.
Optional and extra: if you arrive early in the morning, a discovery tour of Yerevan can be organized.

Ascent of Mount Ara by Ski Touring
After breakfast, you are transferred to the slopes of Mount Ara, north of Yerevan, for your first ski touring.
From an altitude of 1,500 meters, you begin your ascent to the summit at 2,577 meters. Approximately 1,000 meters of vertical gain separate you from this viewpoint over the plain and surrounding mountains, notably the Ararat mountains and Aragats.
Distance: 5 to 6 km.
Duration: 6 hours.
Starting altitude: 1,500 m.
Summit altitude: 2,577 m.
Vertical gain: approximately 1,000 m.

The Tsaghkuniats Mountains
You are heading out skiing today on the slopes of Mont Tsaghkuniats. The hike begins at 1,600 meters altitude, on the slopes of this mountain with a summit of 2,821 meters. You progress along little-traveled routes, amid snow-covered landscapes.
Depending on snow conditions, Mont Tegenis, at 2,881 meters, constitutes an alternative without any change to the difficulty of the route.
Optional and additional cost: possibility of using a chairlift at Tegenis ski resort.
Distance: 7 to 8 km.
Duration: 6 hours.
Starting altitude: 1,600 m.
Summit of Mont Tsaghkuniats: 2,821 m.
Summit of Mont Tegenis: 2,881 m.
You then return to Aghveran for dinner and the night.

Mount Hatis
This morning, you join the slopes of Mount Hatis, an ancient volcano in the Kotayk region, culminating at 2,528 meters.
Your hike begins at 1,500 meters altitude, in a landscape of alpine meadows interspersed with ravines. As you ascend, you enjoy views of Mounts Ararat, Aragats and Ara, as well as the Geghama mountain range.
Distance: 6 km.
Duration: 5 hours.
Starting altitude: 1,500 m.
Summit altitude: 2,528 m.
You then return to Aghveran for dinner and the night.

Ski mountaineering in the Pambak
You leave Aghveran to explore by ski the Pambak range, a little further north. Several summits are possible for this hike, through a rugged landscape that attracts skiers and lovers of wide open spaces.
Distance: 7 to 8 km.
Duration: 5 to 6 hours.
Altitude indication provided for the Pambak: 1,000 to 1,300 m.
You reach Dilidjan in late afternoon, for dinner and the night.

Garni and Geghard - Heritage and Snowshoe Hiking
You head south towards the Geghama Mountains region. Southeast of Yerevan, you discover the Temple of Garni, a pagan building dedicated to the Sun god, a testament to the Hellenistic period in Arménie.
A few kilometers further on, you reach the Geghard Monastery, at the entrance to the upper Azat Valley. Largely troglodytic, this ensemble of churches and cross-stones bears witness to the golden age of medieval Armenian architecture. A former cultural and ecclesiastical center, it is associated with the history of the relics of the Armenian Apostolic Church.
Depending on available time and your preferences, you can leave Geghard for a snowshoe hike on the Geghama Mountains plateau.
Distance: 5 to 6 km.
