Deogarh is located on the boundaries of Mewar, Marwar & Merwara about approx. 80 miles north east of Udaipur in Rajasthan state. It is located at an height of approx. 2100 feet above sea leavel & is cooler in temperature if compared to the other parts of Rajasthan. Today it is very famous for School of Miniature paintings and some of the most lovely Deogarh miniature paintings adorn the personal collection of Present Rawat Sahib. The frescoes of this type can be seen on the walls of the Fort of Deogarh. It is very conveniently located from where day trips to famous tourist spots of Udaipur like Kumbalgarh Fort and Ranakpur jain temples can be organized. Deogarh is surrounded by Bhil Villages who have a colourful life and way of living.
