It is the oldest martial art form in the world, Kalaripayattu is the traditional martial art practiced in Kerala. It is been titled as the mother of all martial arts. It is believed that this art form is a mix of all other martial art like karate, kung-fu and judo. Kalaripayattu is a typical traditional Martial Art of Kerala. This is one of the oldest forms which have its origin in south India. It is performed only by well-trained masters. The martial art dignifies the power and dynamic strength of the majestic animal forms - Lion, Tiger, Elephant, Wild Boar, Snake, and Crocodile. In golden era Kalaripayattu is referred as a code of fight by the Cholas, the Cheras and the Pandyas.
It is a one hour performance show of Kalaripayattu, includes demonstration of body control, flexibility and various form of exercises. The show is performed by skilled and trained artists who showcase their fighting skills with bare hands and metallic weapons like swords, spears, shield and others.
You will be experiencing breath-taking moments filled with thrill to observe the fighters performing these ancient forms of fighting.
